Nestled on the serene and picturesque Green Island, off Antigua's east coast, this wonderfully intimate restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience rooted in the Italian culinary tradition. The only way to arrive is by boat, giving every visit the feeling of a genuine escape — and ensuring the atmosphere remains peaceful, unhurried, and wholly memorable.
Cuisine and kitchen philosophy
The kitchen is led by Head Chef Tim Giffen alongside Mr. Riccardo Parisi, whose shared philosophy is grounded in passion, simplicity, and deep respect for Italian culinary heritage. Their menus showcase the finest seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, woven into dishes that are at once refined and unpretentious. Prefixed menus are offered, designed as a carefully considered symphony of flavours — ideal for guests celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a memorable afternoon on the water.

Guests dine in the open air, basking in warm sunshine with fresh ocean breezes and the natural beauty of Green Island all around. The setting is ideal for a long, leisurely lunch accompanied by a glass of wine, or for winding down with one of the restaurant's creatively crafted sundowner cocktails as the afternoon light softens over the reef.

Alongside the full lunch service, The Reef also offers light bites throughout bar hours — a wonderful option for guests arriving by boat who wish to linger over cocktails without committing to a full sitting. The bar's selection spans cocktails and wine, well suited to the relaxed island surroundings.
Hours, reservations and access
The restaurant is open Monday through Sunday, with the exception of Wednesdays. Bar service runs from 11 am to 5 pm (last call at 4:30 pm), and lunch is served from 12 pm to 3 pm, with last seating at 2:30 pm. As the island is accessible exclusively by boat, and as covers are limited, reservations are required for all dining. Payment is accepted by credit card only.
