Perched on Horsford Hill on the south coast of Antigua, this wonderfully atmospheric property overlooks the twin bays of Falmouth Harbour and English Harbour from a quiet, breezy hillside setting. Surrounded by tropical trees, the villa can be taken as a bed and breakfast or as a fully self-catering holiday rental — making it equally well suited to independent travellers, couples, and larger groups who want the flexibility of a private home.

Five of the six bedrooms are arranged around an open interior patio, each with its own en-suite bathroom finished in Italian design, wooden ceilings and floors, ceiling fans, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. The generous main living area features tropical hardwood flooring and furniture, three comfortable settees, and French windows that open to a spectacular view across the bay. The open kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering: it includes an Italian stove, large electric oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and all necessary cookware and utensils. The kitchen floor is laid in characteristic Mexican tiles, one of several decorative touches — alongside Indonesian and Italian influences throughout — that give Arca Villa its uniquely personal character.

Pool terrace and outdoor areas

From the living area, French doors open directly onto the pool terraces, where guests will find a large gazebo with a table seating twelve, a built charcoal BBQ, and comfortable benches — all with panoramic views over the harbour. The pool is accessible at any time of day. A welcoming patio at the entrance level is planted with potted banana trees and orchids, setting the tone from the moment guests arrive.

When taken as a bed and breakfast, a daily breakfast is served on the terrace at the long teak table, with the stunning harbour view as a backdrop. A communal dinner is offered at least once a week at additional cost, and guests may arrange further prepared meals directly with Alberta, the Italian owner who lives on the property and is on hand to assist while ensuring complete privacy. Daily room cleaning and free Wi-Fi throughout the villa are included as standard, and a cook is available for an additional fee for guests requiring more comprehensive catering.
